Rare and iconic works tracing the birth and evolution of Italian design, from the pre-war avant-garde to post-war reconstruction and the creative effervescence of the 1950s. Highlighting pieces by Gio Ponti, Osvaldo Borsani, Lucio Fontana, Max Ingrand and De Poli, the gallery’s program explores how Italy became a true laboratory of ideas and forms, where art, architecture and industry converged to redefine modern living.
Art historian and young antique dealer Aurélien Jeauneau initially championed French design from the second half of the 20th century. In his gallery at the Marché Paul Bert, he offered signed and catalogued pieces by Pierre Paulin, Joseph-André Motte, Robert Debièvre, Michel Mortier, Louis Paolozzi, Geneviève Dangles and Christian de France… with a particular fondness for the work of Pierre Guariche.
In January 2026, he opened his gallery at 18 rue des Grands-Augustins with the exhibition “Yesterday is Tomorrow,” in which, through a collection of paintings, ceramics, and furniture, he proposed a dialogue between contemporary works and historical design pieces. The past is not presented as a fixed reference but as a material constantly reactivated in the present, with paintings by Jean de Gaspary and Camille Cottier, ceramics by Géraldine Cornette de St Cyr, Antoine Marquis, Rousse Céramique, and Basile Boon, and furniture by Pierre Guariche, Oud Architecture, Jean Couvreur, and Isabelle Stanislas. Thus, by bringing together unique works and functional objects, the exhibition affirms a boundary-breaking vision of creation, where art, craft, and design share the same space and time.

The gallery, established in 2025, showcases the studio’s latest creative research, making it an essential place of inspiration for designers and the public alike.
Maxime Bouzidi founded Galerie Signé in 2021 with the aim of supporting emerging contemporary designers, architects, and artists by assisting them with large-scale projects and also by producing the pieces he presents in his gallery. Through him, one can discover or follow the work of Martin Szekely, Marie & Alexandre, Nemo, Emmanuel Outy, and Julie Richoz.
Aurélien Serre studied architecture but quickly found himself unable to disown his passion for the design of the 60s and 70s. He then decided to present rare pieces at the Paul Bert Market, before opening his Gallery in the Carré Rive Gauche where he also shows his own creations.
Romain Morandi is an art historian and in his gallery it is a transversal look at the history of decorative arts and design of the 20th century that he defends by presenting artists as different as Ettore Sottsass, George Nakashima, Josef Hoffmann, Pierre Charpin, Dan Friedman, Elizabeth de Portzamparc, Gustav Stickley, Nestor Perkal, Josef Hoffmann, Andrea Branzi, Frank Lloyd Wright, Martin Szekely, Elisabeth Garouste & Mattia Bonetti, Alessandro Mendini Christian de Portzamparc, Jean Nouvel, Martin Szekely, Oscar Jespers, Robert Wilson, Jean-Michel Wilmotte …. always striving to connect the different movements, Constructivism, Bauhaus, Art Deco, American Craft, Brutalism or even postmodernism, which have animated creation from 1890 to the present day .
Since 2006, Alain Marcelpoil has been working to rediscover the work of André Sornay, cabinetmaker, interior designer and decorator from Lyon. Art Deco furniture with pure, elegant lines, harmonious proportions, where the use of metal, lacquer and precious wood is combined with a rational management of space.
A resolutely modern, personal and particularly innovative work. Thus, during the crisis of 1929, this inventive creator uses his technique of nailing to produce “pieces of art at low prices, unique pieces”, produced in small series. Remaining away from the public for a long time, André Sornay is now recognized as a major player in the decorative arts and Alain Marcelpoil also presents other artists from the Art Deco period in his gallery as well as at PAD Paris, PAD London, and TEFAF in New York.
Interior architect and designer, Stéphane Parmentier has a unique universe in the contemporary landscape and he is undoubtedly one of the great French talents. Contrast of materials and colors, constant back and forth between simplicity, minimalism and sophistication of forms, his apprehension of the decorative arts is a compendium of multiple inspirations but his vision is unique. In his gallery we find this universe by discovering part of his collections of furniture and lighting.
The last to arrive in Saint-Germain des Prés, Maxime Flatry is a passionate young merchant who is already well known to Art Deco collectors. This period that he particularly likes sometimes takes him to the other side of the world to discover pieces by André Groult, Jean-Michel Frank, Pierre Chareau, Marc Du Plantier, Jean Dunand or even Serge Roche. Wonders that he stages like compositions in a gallery which is a very pretty setting.
Jean-François Foucher presents furniture from the 50s, 60s and 70s: Pierre Guariche, Joseph-André Motte, Pierre Paulin, Michel Boyer, Mathieu Matégot, Robert Mathieu, Jacques Biny, Pierre Disderot and Charlotte Perriand, but also ceramics by Georges Jouve and Italian lighting by Gino Sarfati or the publisher Arteluce. He also sometimes has favorites and presents Scandinavian or Brazilian furniture when he discovers exceptional pieces.
By presenting a selection of American designers, Jacques Barret, who directs TRIODE, highlights a dynamic scene, little known in Europe, which despite a relatively short history, benefits from a rich legacy left by Russel Wright, Henry Dreyfuss, Normand Bel Geddes, Raymond Loewy, Ray & Charles Eames or George Nelson. Lindsey Adelman, Bec Brittain, Apparatus, Gabriel-Scott, Roll & Hill, Jason Miller, John Pomp, Jonah Takagi, or David Weeks have found at TRIODE a real showcase to present their creations.
