Incontournable.

L’Esprit Saint-Germain is a hotel designed as a private house in minute detail. This hotel has nothing ostentatious but has a true “spirit”, a mix of elegance and conviviality, comfort and refinement. Everything is thought through for us to feel at home. At any hour of the day, in the library living room, in front of the fireplace, we can read the newspaper, leaf through a book, drink a coffee or receive friends around a drink. And most of all, after a very full Parisian program, one cannot miss Relaxation Space : a hammam and a sauna with an unrestricted view on the Parisian roofs and the Saint-Sulpice Church.
At the Grande Epicerie, fondness for food becomes an art and shopping a travel. Everything is chosen with extreme care : fruits, vegetables, spices, teas, cheeses, wines, but also authentic or extravagant products, often rare, which come from the whole world.

Here, we can choose our tea among a selection made up of more than 250 different ones, but we can also have lunch over tea-based dishes and pastries by the famous Sadaharu Aoki. In the lower ground floor, a Japanese tea house enables us to discover the rituals of the tea ceremony. And there is also a relaxation corner dedicated to shiatsu massages, which is accessible over reservation.

Since 1797, Zuber has been printing its wallpapers, its fabrics and its leathers “à la planche”. It is the last factory in the world to use this technique dating back to the 18th century. The factory has preserved all its original plates (which are on the historical register) and continues to use them to create panoramic decors, decorative panels, velvet, organza or silk materials. The themes are numerous : from China to India or Constantinople passing by America or the wonderful floral patterns from 18th century France …
