Created in 2008 by Hanane Hilmi and Jean Noël de Soy, IN CAMERA presents devotees to black and white, such as Jane Evelyn Atwood or Stéphane Duroy as well as great colourists such as Bertien van Manen, Julian Germain, Dolorès Marat or Gueorgui Pinkhassov. Those artists are displayed in museums all around the world and in great public and private collections.

Galerie CLAUDE BERNARD

Claude-Bernard directed his gallery from 1957 to 2022.. He has been showing contemporary figurative art. Each year, the gallery organizes approximately six exhibitions as well as one retrospective exhibition of artists such as Morandi, Giacometti, Bonnard or Bacon.

Galerie 1900-2000

Marcel Fleiss opened his gallery in 1972 with an exhibition of forty rayogrammes by his friend Man Ray. With his son David, they mainly dedicate themselves to surrealist works but also to contemporary photography.

NAILA DE MONBRISON

A unique gallery in its style opened in 1987 by Naila de Monbrison, specialist in ethnic and contemporary art. As she loves artists’ jewels, she decided to devote her space, decorated by Garouste and Bonneti, to them. Several times per season, she organizes exhibitions about the work of one of them : Taher Chemirik, Christianne Brillet, Dominique Biard, Giorgio Vigna, Marcial Berro, Tina Chow, Mattia Bonetti or Gilles Joneman. They only show exclusive and unique pieces.

DES GATEAUX ET DU PAIN

Working beside Pierre Hermé for three years, Claire Damon realised that her sensitivity could become the guiding principle to produce a cake and an emotion. She went on to work at Ladurée before joining the brigade de cuisine of Le Bristol and of the Plaza Athénée and met David Granger, known to be on an endless quest for the ideal bread. Together they launched this shop mixing the best of their worlds.

GALERIE KUGEL

Perhaps the most famous Parisian gallery in the world, as the works presented at the Hôtel Collot are exceptional. His clients are all very knowledgeable collectors or major international museums.

Nicolas, Alexis and Laura Kugel represent the fifth and sixth generation of a family of antique dealers who began their activity in Russia at the beginning of the 19th century with Elie Kugel, collector of clocks. His grandson, Matias, emigrated to Paris in 1924 and it was Jacques Kugel, for whom the research and presentation of works of art was an immense passion, which gave, in the 1970s, an international aura to the gallery by rediscovering many lost treasures.

In 2004, the gallery moved to the magnificent Hôtel Collot. Most of the works presented there come directly from private collections and are exhibited in the historic rooms of the Hotel or in a more contemporary adjoining space. To support their collectors, Alexis, Nicolas and Laura Kugel are assisted by a team of art historians who themselves work in a library with more than 20,000 reference works,

L’Alcazar is having a second rebirth after a first revamp by Sir Terence Conran in 1998 who transitioned the place from a cabaret to a restaurant. This time it was entirely redecorated by Laura Gonzalez. She’s succeeded in making this extremely vast place with its shabby chic signature into a mix of English garden and Brazilian patio, meaning right on trend.  The cuisine is also spot on: simple, refined, and fresh, but the cabaret spirit remains with offerings like Russian sturgeon caviar or a poached egg with foie gras. You may want to know what happened to La Mezzanine where people would dance so merrily. Now called Le Balcon, it is still the perfect follow-up for the evening with cocktails to die for.
