Jean-Bernard Gillot is first and foremost a librarian, but he also infuses his bookshop with his passion for photography and travels. He also regularly organises exhibitions on modern and contemporary photographers.
Taking over Jean-François Piège, he runs the restaurant located just upstairs from Brasserie Thoumieux. the young chef is only fourty but he has already been rewarded with 2 Michelin stars for Strato in Courchevel and l’Oustau de Baumanière in the Baux-de-Provence.
In his place, Sylvestre Wahid offers both his signature dishes and brand new creations inspired by his current ideas and moods.
Enter a succession of five elegant and chic lounges decorated by Jean-Michel Wilmotte and adorned with paintings lent by François Pinault. There we know for sure that we are experiencing a special moment, surrounded by 18th century architecture, with a view on the Louvre, on the Pont des Arts or on le Pont Neuf and of course with Guy Savoy’s unparalleled cuisine.

Inès wanted her place to be like a joyful mess mixing her own creations and the objects she loves. As for clothes, we get her inimitable chic and timeless style as well as her friend Fifi Chachnil’s lingerie garments. Then there are jewels, tableware, gadgets, pareos, olive oil, and guess what? You can also find brooms.
Every day from 10 am to midnight and on Sundays from 11.00 a.m to 10.00 p.m, it is nice to stroll around in this multidisciplinary bookshop where there is a kid department.
The Galerie Cipango has been known since 1978 for its unique pieces. It regularly invites a seasoned artist -painter, sculptor, architect or photographer- to create one or several jewels that echo their own work. Each of these encounters is immortalised by signed and numbered limited editions.
